What's the Point??

We had the childproof latch for Surina's younger days to keep some cabinets closed. Rowan figured out how to open specific ones. We decided to try another form of childproof lock, but once again, Rowan figured it out. He is fascinated with the blender and the rice cooker. He wants to stack everything on top of each other, which is fine with me, but many objects in that cabinet has glass or sharp blades. Because these latches are worthless, we have resorted to the baby gates once again, to keep him out of the kitchen. However, I don't think it will last long because Rowan is already climbing all the way to the top, but thankfully, he hasn't figured out how to coordinate his legs to cross the gate. I have caught him a few times fiddling with the latch, but it is too secure (even for adults!). Also, he is obsessed with the dishwasher. This is probably why we don't visit anyone at the moment :-) No house is Rowan-proof!
