Hello to those who actually read these things. I apologize for no updates. It seems my blogging creativeness has veered off into other fields such as playing with the kids, knitting, drawing pictures, writing stories and poems, cooking and such. The kids are kids, and if you do want pictures- I'll be more than happy to send them to you any time. This is basically a farewell blog message. I will leave this open until Feta figures how to save all these notes and milestones for me- and perhaps, I will actually find some time to print pictures and put them in a scrapbook or two...

Imagination is Wonderful!
Lowes gave a bunch of free stuff, so the kids had fun pretending they were "handymen".
Rowan got fireman galoshes and a new coat for the winter, but he insisted on wearing this outfit.
First Days of School
Family
We are a family, no matter where we are, near or far. By the way, don't overlook the little monkey in between Feta and me. He insisted he was a big boy and wanted to stand up like everyone else.
Vermont Trip 2010
My parents had rented this cabin on Black Pond for the week, so the gang got together and stayed at this place. The water was great in my opinion! The water was full of nature and the kids enjoyed different things each day. It was also great to see Mallory again!
New Creatures
There were some rare species at the zoo, but I decided to rescue three homo sapiens, that I thought were pretty darn cute.
Luray Zoo
After we visited Luray Frontier Museum (no pictures were allowed), we decided to go to Luray Zoo, which was just across the street. There were plenty of reptiles. This zoo is considered a rescue zoo, and Steve Irwin visited this place before! Rowan liked the taranatula, and Surina liked the turtles. Of course, there were others like birds, monkeys, some cats and a small petting zoo. The goat really reminded me of my pet goat, Popcorn, when I was younger.
Car Museum
After the caverns, we visited the Antique Cars museum "next door". The kids' favorite car was the blue one (sorry, names...?) and Feta mentioned that the black car reminded him of his grandparents, what they used to drive.
Luray Caverns
After all these years we lived in Virginia, we had always talked about visiting one of those caverns close to us. Mallory never showed interest, so we didn't pursue. This time we decided we didn't care if the kids wanted to go or not. The kids were okay visiting Luray Caverns, but they were bored. "It is just rocks." Feta thought I was being a teacher, not a mom, explaining the formations. Hey- I'm practicing for my fifth grade science class! :-) However, Surina did like the wishing well, only because it had money in it and Rowan enjoyed being carried most of the way.
Endless Bubbles
I have tons of bubbles, donated by a wonderful couple, so one day, it was cool enough to be outside without having to be sitting in water, the kids got to play. I had to smile when Rowan tried to blow through a pipe. Surina did great with one wand that wouldn't cooperate with me.
Fire Safety Day
On a Saturday afternoon, we decided to take the kids to a fire station, where they were having FREE exhibits for children. They got to put on firefighter uniforms (Rowan refused), ride in the firetrucks (well, more of sit in), learn about fire safety and what to do when smoke is in the house, and other things. The kids loved it! Surina was rather addicted to the fire hose exhibit---we had to drag her away from it.
